PEST
MANAGEMENT The Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Act 2002 and the Land Protection (Pest and Stock Route Management) Regulation 2003 provide legislative measures for the management of weeds and pest animals and stock routes throughout Queensland.
The presence of World Heritage and RAMSAR listed areas within the Council boundaries, increases the need for all stakeholders to work co-operatively to limit the degrading impact of pest species on these significant sites.
